For the shopping cart to function properly,
your browser must be set to accept "cookies."
All browsers 3.0 or higher accept cookies. If you have a
very old browser or have your browser set to refuse cookies
the shopping cart will not work properly.
How do I set my
browser so I can choose to accept cookies?
Just click on the type of browser
below and follow the simple directions. It only takes a minute.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are simply bits of information,
small text files (usually less than 1K in size), that your
browser picks up at many websites and stores on your hard
drive.
Where do cookies come
from?
You. Yes, that's right. The data stored
on the text files comes from information you have supplied.
In this case, it stores the item that you placed in our shopping
cart so that our shopping cart will remember you.
What are cookies used
for?
We use cookies to remember what items
you have put into the shopping cart, so that your shopping
experience is quick and easy.
Can I still order from
you if my browser doesn't accept cookies?
Yes, though not accepting cookies
will make ordering tedious. If your browser doesn't accept
cookies you will have to complete the order process each time
you enter an item into the shopping basket. This means you
will have to fill out your shipping and purchase information
each time you add an item to the shopping cart and then start
over from scratch with the next item you add. Most browsers
can be configured to accept or refuse cookies.
If cookies are text files,
who can read this text?
A cookie can only be read by the site
domain that created it. No one can snoop through all your
cookies and find out information about you.
Can a cookie carry a computer
virus that will infect my computer?
No. Viruses are carried by executable
files. Since cookies are text only, which cannot contain executable
files, they cannot carry viruses.
Can I accept some and
reject others?
Yes, you can. It is common for people
to set their browsers to alert them before accepting a cookie.
This way you can pick and choose which ones you want to accept.
The only cookies you need to accept at our site is the cookie
given to you when you are in the shopping cart area.
How do I set my browser
so I can choose to accept cookies?
You can configure your Web browser
so you won't see a dialog box before accepting cookies if
you are using Netscape 3.0 or above, or Microsoft's Internet
Explorer 3.0 or above.

Firewalls
You may be behind a firewall

the case for users connecting from a business intranet that
limits cookie acceptance for security reasons. To check if
this is a factor, contact your System Administrator.
